“Bear Stalking!!!
I went out very early this morning, as I just had a feeling. Sat by the river a while, listening to the Red Tail Hawk screech, and then headed to the meadow. I wandered, looking, and did a double take when I watched a Bear saunter up from the river and disappear into the stand of trees I always suspected was a home to Bears, a den for Coyotes. I circled the trees, placing myself on the other side, just hoping it would walk through them and not lay down to take a nap. Sure enough, it came through, 50 ft in front of me. This photo is uncropped and I had to dial my lens back to 220mm. I had exactly one click before he scampered away, startled, as I knew he would be.This was by far my closest in person encounter with a Bear, my other pictures being taken from a far distance or with a trail cam. An absolutely thrilling stalking!!!!!” – Talia Rose, County Line Wild
